Wendy Lumley brings 15 years of experience in sales and customer services for Qantas to her new role selling properties for Ray White Waiheke.
But she’s no stranger to real estate. They don’t call her Open Home Wendy for nothing. Wendy lives and breathes real estate, and loves visiting open homes. When she was living in Buckland Beach and kept a bach on Waiheke, any friends looking to buy or sell a home knew Wendy was the go-to person for information on recent sales, and what was new to the market.
It’s been her long-term ambition to work in real estate and now that she and her husband of 32 years have moved permanently to the island, Ray White Waiheke is thrilled to have Wendy join their sales team. “And I thought it would be nice for them to have another female in the office” she says. Plus now she gets to organise open homes.
Wendy describes herself as a good listener, friendly, easy-going and can read what people are wanting. “Often people don’t know what they want. I can talk to them and show them what is available and work out what they want. I can help people’s dreams come true, buying their own slice of Waiheke paradise.”
Outside of work, family is really important to Wendy. And she also loves the island’sdiversity, the bush walks, the great food and coffee, and the laid-back holiday feeling.
